 About  Sanaz Rezvani

Sanaz Sadat Rezvani Ardestani obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Mechatronics, in 2012 and Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, in 2014 from International Sharif university of Technology (SUT), Iran. Her master project was consisted of working on robotic exoskeletons for gait rehabilitation. She has been a research assistant in Intelligent System and Advanced Control Laboratory (ISACLab) since fall 2016. Her research interests include Neuromechanics and Computational Neuroscience. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of Mechatronics engineering, attending courses ranging from Mechanics to Computer science, has equipped her with the ability of applying multiple perspectives to problems and thinking in an interdisciplinary manner. At the moment, she is working on brain-computer interfaces (BCI) for controlling a hand exoskeleton. Furthermore, she is using different machine learning techniques to obtain better results in classification of brain signals and improve the state of the art. Overall, her areas of interest also include bio-inspired and medical robotics as well as artificial intelligence and data science.
